NEW YORK -- There's sad news for fans of "The Bachelorette". Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray have reportedly called off their engagement and broken up.
"After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways. We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually. We will continue to be good friends and have nothing but great things to say about each other and wish each other the best."
The joint statement by Dorfman, 27, and Murray, 30, was obtained by People Magazine.
Dorfman and Murray had been engaged since May 2014 when filming of "The Bachelorette" ended. Their engagement wasn't unveiled to the public until the finale aired in July.
The ex-couple had most recently appeared on the live premiere of "The Bachelor" in Los Angeles just this past Monday. They seemed very affectionate towards each other, with Dorfman constantly rubbing Murray's back during their interview with host Chris Harrison. However, when asked about their wedding, they said they hadn't yet started planning it.
According to Dorfman's Instagram posts, they had spent Christmas and New Year's Eve together.
It's not yet known why after a seemingly happy holidays together, they would call it quits.
Interestingly enough just four days ago, "Bachelorette" runner-up Nick Viall posted a "how-to" guide to getting over a breakup on the site Bustle.com and included a picture of him and Dorfman together before she chose Murray over him. You can read it HERE.
The 19th season of "The Bachelor" is currently underway on ABC. Watch it Monday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern | 7 p.m. Central.
