FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Naugles, a popular Mexican food chain from the '70s and '80s, has returned to Southern California, much to the delight of many fans.
Founded in 1970, Naugles was initially family owned. But the fast-food eatery disappeared after a merge with Del Taco.
Christian Ziebarth, the Huntington Beach man who revived Naugles, won a trademark case against Del Taco this year.
The first location reopened on Tuesday in Fountain Valley at 18471 Mt. Langley.
Ziebarth said he hopes to open more locations in Orange County and the Inland Empire within the next year.
