VIDEO: Christmas lights installation safety tips

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- It's the time of year to decorate your house for Christmas, and experts say there are key safety tips to keep in mind.

Darell Lee, a professional light installer, said homeowners should check to make sure their ladders are working properly. Also, Lee warned to not install lights when rain is in the forecast, and make sure any rain has dried before heading up to the roof.
