Video, photos show massive damage and panic caused by Ecuador earthquake

Hundreds of people died and thousands were injured after a massive earthquake hit Ecuador on Saturday, with casualties expected to rise. President Rafael Correa described the magnitude-7.8 earthquake as the country's biggest tragedy in 67 years, according to ABC News.

Thousands of Red Cross volunteers, armed forces personnel and emergency rescue workers set out to help those living near the coastal regions where the quake struck. Photos and video posted to social media show the massive damage and panic caused by the earthquake in Ecuador.
