In a hilarious prank going viral, people dressed up like Tetris blocks brighten (or, in many cases, ruin) the days of unsuspecting French people by trying to fit in just about everywhere: the foot of an escalator, construction sites and even in the middle of the road.

People have hilarious, confused and sometimes angry reactions as they try to figure out why Tetris blocks are obstructing their paths. At one point, the purple block almost gets in a fight after he knocks a man's meal clear off the table he is trying to fit with.

In the end, the game is lost because the quintessential straight piece, who is needed to finish the board, is off getting a hot dog.

The gag is the work of French prankster Remi Gaillard, who has millions of fans on social media. In the past he has also created real-life Mario Kart and Pac-Man.
