FCancer nonprofit raises life-saving funds in West Hollywood
Julie Greenbaum and Yael Cohen Braun's nonprofit FCancer has raised more than $2 million for cancer research. The pair hosted a provocative fundraiser at actor David Arquette's West Hollywood nightclub on Thursday.

WEST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Julie Greenbaum and Yael Cohen Braun co-founded the nonprofit FCancer.

Braun's mom is a breast cancer survivor, and Greenbaum's mom lost her fight with ovarian cancer.

"I feel very close to her at these events, in particular, but it's really nice to know that her legacy in a way lives on and we're still here trying to make a difference," Greenbaum said.

The pair have raised more than $2 million for cancer research thanks to T-shirt sales and fundraising parties such as one that was hosted at West Hollywood hotspot Bootsy Bellows on Thursday night.

Actor David Arquette co-owns Bootsy Bellows, which is named after his mother who died of breast cancer.

"It gets a lot of sort of young Hollywood out and supportive of it. Their voices are talking to a new generation and it's going to be their responsibilities to stand up and be the leaders in the future," Arquette said.

Last year, actor Stephen Amell celebrated his birthday at an FCancer event at Bootsy Bellows. The group's parties have drawn stars such as Ed Sheeran, Ashley Benson and Sophia Bush.
