Hello Kitty Mini Cafe opens Friday at Westfield Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- Hello Kitty fans made a mad rush to an Arcadia shopping center to get the first taste of Sanrio sweets at the new Hello Kitty Mini Cafe.

The new cafe, took up permanent residence in Westfield Santa Anita, serving up a variety of baked goods (including birthday cake), flavored iced teas and coffee.

Owners invited patrons to the grand opening celebration at the cafe on Friday. The first 50 customers that arrived received a free drink of choice.

The first 100 customers at the mini cafe took home a small commemorative gift with their purchase, according to a Facebook post from the business.
