GRAND TERRACE, Calif. (KABC) -- Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man they believe has stalked at least three female hikers on the Blue Mountain trail in Grand Terrace.

The suspect drew hearts on one of the victim's vehicles with his saliva and allegedly left seminal fluids on another.

A woman reported that a man had been stalking her near the trailhead at the intersection of Westwood Drive and Honey Hill Road on Saturday.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says a Hispanic man in his 40s frequents the area in a white van. He was described as a man with a dark complexion, light-medium build and shorter length dark hair.

Authorities are working to determine if a man who was arrested last year after harassing a woman by leaving her notes and flowers on her car while she hiked could be linked to the recent incidents.

Investigators are awaiting DNA results in an attempt to determine the suspect's identity, and urge hikers to be cautious of their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activity.

Anyone who may have been targeted by this suspect was asked to contact the sheriff's department at (909) 387-3545.
