INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- The family of a blind man who was found decapitated in his Inglewood apartment last week are looking for answers.

Robert Hollis' headless body was found in the 800 block of Glenway Drive six days ago, and his family does not understand who would have wanted to harm the 75-year-old.

Norma Hollis said her husband was her soulmate. She was married to the artist and singer for 26 years. During their time together, his vision deteriorated.

He had tunnel vision in his left eye and would not be able to see people around him very well, according to Norma Hollis.

The Hollis family said both doors of his apartment were locked and it's a mystery how someone could have come in. Police also told the family his head is still missing and no arrests have been made.

Inglewood police have not spoken publicly regarding the investigation. Following a candlelight vigil Monday night, Mayor James Butts said to maintain the integrity of any police investigation, some information will not be released.

"There are very few leads in this case, but someone knows something, someone saw something. We're asking this person to come forward," said Bishop Kenneth Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church.

On June 29, Butts plans to authorize a $50,000 award for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for Hollis' murder.
