"Saturday Night Live" alum Jan Hooks died in New York on Thursday at age 57, her agent confirmed to ABC7 Eyewitness News.
However, Hooks' cause of death was not immediately known and no further details were available.
Hooks was perhaps best known for being an 'SNL' cast member in the mid-1980s and early 1990s.
However, Hooks also appeared in several television shows and movies, including "Designing Women" and "Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
