LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The young homeless man who Miley Cyrus brought to the MTV Video Music Awards turned himself Thursday in to an Oregon jail after it was revealed he had a warrant out for his arrest.
Jesse Helt, 22, was being booked in Polk County Jail after violating probation. He was arrested in 2010 on charges of criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
Helt rose to fame after accepting Cyrus' award to video of the year. During the acceptance speech, he told his story with the hopes of bringing attention to youth homelessness.
