Missing 72-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease found

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- A missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease, who was last seen in Riverside three days before, was found safe Saturday evening.

Authorities said 72-year-old Joan Weymouth, of Riverside, was last spotted around 9 p.m. Thursday, according to family members. Police say Weymouth was driving away from a friend's house located only a few miles away from her residence on the 5000 block of Challen Ave.

Bank records showed she used her debit card at a gas station in Leucadia off of the 5 Freeway on Friday around 8:30 a.m.

She was located by authorities Saturday night and was reunited with her family.
