PHOTOS: LA beard, mustache contest features nation's best

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Some of the best beards and mustaches in the country took over The Federal Bar in North Hollywood on Saturday.

It was all part of the second annual Los Angeles Facial Hair Society Beard and Mustache Competition.

Contestants competed in 12 different categories, including best styled mustache, best beard over 1 foot and best goatee. It even had a category for women to show off fake facial hair creations.

A portion of the proceeds was donated to the Dawg Squad Animal Rescue to help out other furry friends in need.
