LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles motorcycle officer was involved in a crash in the Jefferson Park area and transported to a local hospital.
The crash happened in the area of Arlington Avenue and 27th Street around 10 p.m.
The driver of the sedan who hit the officer was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. Footage from AIR7HD showed the suspect stumbling backward during the test.
Other motorcycle officers escorted the ambulance carrying the injured officer to California Hospital downtown.
The officer's condition was unclear, but his injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
The officer's motorcycle was severely damaged from the crash.
