LLANO, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities were investigating a bone that was found partially buried under a coach in Llano Friday morning.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner responded to 228th Street East at Fort Tejon Road to recover the bone.

A man who was out in the area said he found an upside down couch around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. When he turned it over, he discovered what appeared to be a bone partially buried under ripped jeans.

The coroner will determine if the bone is human, authorities said.

The investigation was ongoing.
