SoCal to see morning clouds, cool temperatures Thursday

Los Angeles and Southern California will see cooler temperatures and a chance of drizzle on Thursday.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Temperatures are staying cool in Southern California on Thursday but the weekend will bring a warmup even as the first official day of fall arrives.

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a 20% chance of showers on Thursday, with a high of 69. Temperatures will warm up to the 80s over the weekend.

The valleys and Inland Empire can expect a chance of showers with a high of 70 on Thursday. By Sunday - the first day of fall - temperatures will hit the low 90s.

Beaches will stay in the mid 60s on Thursday with a chance of showers.

Mountains will see a high of just 58 on Thursday. Mountains in northern Ventura County could see rain and isolated thunderstorms.

The desert areas on Thursday will reach 77 and climb to the 90s by Sunday.
