MENIFEE, Calif. (KABC) -- The mayor of Menifee died at the age of 65, the city announced on its Facebook page Sunday.

Neil Winter died Saturday evening, according to a press release, but details on how Winter died were not released.

The city said it will issue a full statement regarding his death in a few days.
