El Nino dumps snow across California mountain areas
BIG BEAR, Calif. (KABC) -- El Nino was dumping snow throughout the mountain areas across California on Tuesday.
The system effecting Mammoth Mountain was expected to drop 1 to 2 feet by the evening hours, with yet another system dropping an additional 1 to 2 feet on Wednesday.
Up to 4 feet of snow in the next two days was expected.

Meanwhile, the first of three major storms rolled through the Southland, Eyewitness News viewer Chris Harris sent in a photo from his Big Bear home showing the ground, surrounding trees and a parked car covered in powder white snow.
In SoCal's Mountain High area, between 4 and 6 inches of snow accumulated as the storm dropped significant snowfall in the winter resort.
The mountain communities in Southern California were expected to be cold throughout the day with 5 to 10 inches of rain and high temperatures in the upper-30s.
Snow was expected to accumulate 3 to 5 inches at elevations above 3,500 feet.
