ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- Ontario police are searching for a 33-year-old mother who vanished from her home earlier this month following a heated argument with her boyfriend's brother over money.
Sally Mityas allegedly left her home in the 1600 block of Briar Avenue on Sept. 4 without taking her three children, car or cellphone.
When she didn't return, her boyfriend, Eddie Sarinina, reported her missing. The two lived in the home with their three children, ages 1, 5 and 7, and Sarinina's two brothers.
Sarinina's brother told police Mityas packed up her clothes and left in a maroon-colored sedan at approximately 11 a.m. after the two began arguing over how they were going to split up cash from a second mortgage that the couple and Sarinina's brothers had just taken out on the home they share.
Investigators say there's no record of Mityas leaving the country, and her parents haven't heard from her either.
Mityas works as a hygienist at Premier Dental in Norco, but has not shown up for work which her co-worker calls suspicious.
"We expected her here on Tuesday, the 8th, and she didn't show up, and Sally has never missed a day at work," said Janel Severns, Mityas' friend and co-worker. "She's been the hygienist here for over a year and she's a very dependable, loyal, reliable hygienist, and an amazing mom, very dedicated co-worker and a very dear friend. She would never leave her kids behind."
She was described as Egyptian, 5 feet 6 inches tall with mid-length black hair and brown eyes.
Sarinina and his brother, who Mityas got into an argument with, are cooperating with Ontario police in the investigation.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to contact the Ontario Police Department at (909) 986-6711.
