Person of interest sought in child molestation case at City of Industry mall

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a person of interest in the sexual assault of a young boy at a City of Industry mall.

Around 6:50 p.m. on July 8, a 9-year-old boy reported that he was inappropriately touched by a man while he was inside the Puente Hills Mall. The incident was reported to mall security not long after it happened, according to authorities.

Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department are looking for a man between the age of 35 and 40. He is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, clean shaven, balding on the top of his head, has black and gray hair and was last seen wearing a blue shirt.
