FARMINGTON, Conn. (KABC) -- It was a terrifying moment for customers at a gas station in Connecticut after a driver crashed into a gas pump and sparked a fire.
Authorities said the driver backed into the pump after hitting the gas instead of the brake, ABC affiliate WTNH reported.
The impact pushed the pump onto another car and the fire broke out.
Video showed two children being pulled from the backseat of a vehicle and rushed away.
Two cars were destroyed by the flames and three others were damaged.
It was unclear if the driver would face any charges.
