MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- Pacific Coast Highway was closed in both directions at Sunset Boulevard for about two hours on Friday afternoon while police investigated a suspicious package.
The suspicious package was located in the area of Sunset Blvd. and Castellammare Drive at about 1:30 p.m., according to the LAPD.
PCH traffic was being diverted, and traffic was backed up into the city of Malibu.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area if possible.
The suspicious package was rendered safe, the LAPD tweeted at about 3:25 p.m. Police activity was cleared.
