PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- The rain wreaked havoc across Southern California Wednesday morning, leaving a messy aftermath out on the roads.

In Pasadena, a semi-truck jackknifed near the Lake Avenue off-ramp on the eastbound 210 Freeway , leaving the vehicle's cab dangling down an embankment.

"I looked out the window and saw the truck dangling off the edge," said resident Annelyse Thomas.

The overnight rains also caused mud and rockslides that disrupted travel in the Malibu area. While the threat of more mudslides will linger, forecasters said the area is due for a warmup for the next couple days.

Forecasters said coastal and valley areas should see as much as 8 degrees of warming over the next few days, with temperatures hitting the mid to upper 60s, with some locations reaching the low 70s into Thursday.

Skies will likely be partly cloudy over the weekend, with another slight dip in temperatures. There is a chance of more rain by Monday or Tuesday, although the forecast remained uncertain about how much precipitation might fall.
