PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Lisa Lobree was trying to catch some sunshine and get a little exercise when something fishy happened at Philadelphia's Fairmount Park on Labor Day morning.
A catfish, she said, fell from the sky and slapped her right in the face as she was walking underneath a tree, KYW-TV reports.
A friend who was walking with Lisa found the animal on the ground.
"It bounced off Annie. Annie sees me go down, turns around, looks and goes, 'Oh my God! It was a fish,'" Lobree said.
Lobree said as she was hit, she remembered the smell. "I smelled disgusting," she said.
This big fish story did a little damage. Lobree had a small cut to her face and some swelling after the foot-long catfish came hurdling toward her face.
She said, however, she can see the humor in this bizarre story.
Lobree and her friend Annie believe a bird probably lost their lunch in the moments before the fish came flying toward Lobree's face.
