RUBIDOUX, Calif. (KABC) -- A quarter-acre mulch fire smoldered for hours in Rubidoux, and the smoke was visible for miles.
The fire broke out at about 6:30 p.m. Friday in a 15-feet deep mulch pile in an industrial area near Wilson Street and Brown Avenue.
A total of 105 firefighters responded to the scene. The fire was contained by midnight, but it continued to smolder early Saturday morning.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene.
A cause was not immediately determined.
