GROVEPORT, Ohio (KABC) -- The body of a missing pregnant 22-year-old Ohio woman has been found, police confirmed on Wednesday.

Samantha Greenlee has been missing since Oct. 8.

Her boyfriend, 22-year-old Jacob Ferrero, is under arrest, charged with murder and aggravated arson. He led police to Greenlee's body around 2 a.m. in a wooded area along Bixby Road in Groveport. Ferrero was the father of Greenlee's unborn child.

Greenlee was last seen working her shift as a waitress at a local restaurant before heading home, police said. Two days later, she missed a doctor's appointment, and then a fire broke out in her apartment. Ferrero initially told police that their dog knocked over a candle and started the blaze.

He later confessed to starting the fire as a way to cover up his girlfriend's death, officials said.

The discovery of Greenlee's body comes just hours after her family and friends held a vigil, hoping for her safe return.

"She was a caring person. She always thought about other people," her father Douglas Greenlee told ABC News on Tuesday.

Greenlee's family says she was three months pregnant.

Ferrero is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
