Inland Regional Center to reopen Monday, 1 month after San Bernardino terror attack

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- Employees at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino will return to work Monday a little more than a month after the deadly terrorist attack.

The offices at the center will reopen, except for the conference building where shooters Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik killed 14 people during a holiday gathering on Dec. 2.

Many of the 600 employees at the center continued work outside of the office, but they are officially back on Monday. The workers will get a chance to talk before resuming their duties.

At 2 p.m., they will honor the victims of the shooting and professional counselors will be available.

Officials said security has been strengthened and they are confident the site is safe.
