SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (KABC) -- One pedestrian was killed and another was injured after being hit by a car in Santa Clarita Tuesday night.
According to sheriff's officials, a man and woman were walking on Sierra Highway near Soledad Canyon Road around 8:23 p.m. when they were hit.
A 65-year-old man was declared dead at the scene, and a 26-year-old woman was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
