SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- Emergency crews scoured the shoreline after a man reportedly jumped from the Santa Monica Pier late Sunday evening.
Lifeguards with the Los Angeles County Fire Department said a 25-year-old man was believed to have jumped from the pier into the water below at about 8:40 p.m.
Officials stated the man reportedly had an argument with his brother before he jumped and may have been drinking.
Crews in diving gear were seen swimming along the shoreline searching for the man.
The man was later spotted safely ashore in a nearby parking structure, according to authorities.
