Sick koala joey rescued, nursed back to health in Australia

AUSTRALIA (KABC) -- A sick koala is now recovering after it was found wandering a neighborhood in Australia, looking for shelter from the sun.

The koala joey, named Lucy, was also suffering from conjunctivitis, an eye infection that can cause blindness. Rescuers found her just in time.

The conservation organization Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors recently released video of Lucy happily munching on eucalyptus. Vets say she's well on her way to recovery.
