SILVERADO CANYON, Calif. (KABC) -- The day after a big storm hammered Southern California, many residents of Silverado Canyon are getting a firsthand look at the damage on Wednesday.
Pounding rain and mudslides left at least five homes red-tagged. It also destroyed cars and uprooted trees.
Silverado and other canyons in the burn areas had to be evacuated.
Many people in Silverado Canyon stayed put Tuesday despite evacuation orders.
Residents are concerned about more potential mudslides from a storm expected to hit next week.
