SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A juvenile suspect has been arrested for sexual battery, burglary and prowling in three separate incidents after confessing to Simi Valley Police.

All three alleged crimes ocurred in 2300 block of Archwood Lane and the 2200 block of Oakdale Avenue, late at night on April 29.

In the first incident, the suspect reached through an open bedroom window and touched the chest of a female resident who was sleeping in her bed. Next, he broke into a home and fled after being confronted by the homeowner. Lastly, he was spotted removing a window screen of a home but it was unclear if he gained access, police said.

The following day an investigation revealed that residents were aware of a 15-year-old male known to walk through the neighborhood during late night hours acting suspicious.

Later that evening, a surveillance camera installed by a resident in the 2100 block of Emory Avenue captured video of a male suspect entering a secured gate. The video and a photo of the suspect allowed police to positively identify the 15-year-old.

The next day the suspect was located by officers. He was taken to the Simi Valley Police Station where he confessed.

The suspect was admitted to the Ventura County Juvenile Hall for burglary, attempted burglary, prowling, and sexual battery.
