Special Olympics mural features past athletes, world visionaries
A giant mural, called the "World Stage Legacy," outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum celebrates the history of the stadium and embraces the spirit of the Special Olympics World Games.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A giant mural, called the "World Stage Legacy," outside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum celebrates the history of the stadium and embraces the spirit of the Special Olympics World Games that starts July 25.

The mural, which is one of three, features athletes as well as past presidents and inspirational leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr.

More than 7,000 athletes from 177 countries will be competing in the games from July 25 until Aug. 2. Those looking to sponsor athletes may go to abc7.com/specialolympics.
