Man stabbed 15 times found lying in Costa Mesa street

COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- Police are searching for the person who stabbed a man at least 15 times Thursday night in Costa Mesa.

A passing driver found the stabbing victim collapsed on Placentia Avenue near Fairview Park shortly before 9 p.m., according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.

Responding paramedics transported the man to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.
