Handcrafted burgers, shareable plates and community make this spot a favorite.

IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) -- If you're looking for a great burger, The Cut in Irvine is worth a visit.
Located in Irvine's West Park Plaza, The Cut has become a community favorite for handcrafted, elevated burgers and shareable dishes.
"We stay true to the same principles from day one," owner Steve Kim said. "The quality of the product we use, the freshness of it, and then just hospitality."
The Cut got cooking as a food truck in 2014. Today, Kim and Chef Ryan serve up 10 different burgers, ranging from smashburgers to the restaurant's famous $40 namesake burger.
That signature burger comes with a 60-day, dry-aged ribeye patty for an elevated take on the classic.
The menu also features breakfast burritos and shareable plates, including bone marrow.
"You don't find bone marrow everywhere," a customer said.
For those looking to switch things up, the savory burger with bacon relish is another standout.
Beyond the food, Kim says creating a place where everyone feels welcome is just as important.
"You can come and feel welcome, whether it's on a date night or whether it was for the corporate lunch or birthday party, or just with your family and your kids," he said.
The Cut also has something happening throughout the week, including Happy Hour specials Monday through Friday, Kids Eat Free on Tuesday nights and Wine Wednesdays.
After nine years in business, Kim says being recognized by the community is an honor.
"I truly feel blessed to be still here nine years later," he said.
"It's all love. It feels like that pat on the back, like, 'Okay, what we do is impacting somebody in a positive way.'"
The Cut in Irvine is open seven days a week at 3831 Alton Parkway, Suite C.
