TORRANCE, Calif. (KABC) -- A search is underway for a gunman after a man was shot to death in Torrance early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the 22800 block of Berendo Avenue. Responding deputies found a man unconscious and bleeding from a gunshot wound. Sheriff's authorities said the victim was possibly riding a bicycle at the time of the shooting.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately released. He was only described as a 27-year-old Asian male.
Authorities said it remains unknown whether the shooting was gang related. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots in the area, but no one saw a suspect or a vehicle.
