Each month a group of third graders is given the chance to get up close and personal with all sorts of animals, learning about them from wildlife experts.
Organizers say the goal is to help young children learn greater compassion and kindness towards animals.
The "hands on camp" is held at /*Humane Society*/ headquarters and donations help cover the cost of art materials, guest presenters and snacks for the kids.
