Daniel Charles Smith, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Smith was walking with friends when a man got out of a gray vehicle, walked up to the group and started shooting. Smith was mortally wounded. No one else was hurt.
The gunman got back into his vehicle and raced away. Investigators were unsure of a motive for the crime.
