The chase began shortly before 5 a.m. The driver of a green 1997 Ford Contour erratically sped through several busy intersections in Van Nuys, Studio City and North Hollywood before the car began smoking for an unknown reason.
The suspect continued to speed on before the car spun out at the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Mammoth Avenue in Panorama City. The suspect then apparently fell out of the vehicle.
A brief foot chase ensued, and authorities quickly took the suspect into custody.
It is unclear who the suspect is or what they were doing.
