Thanks to recent rains, superbloom of flowers expected in Carlsbad field

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KABC) -- A spectacular superbloom of flowers in the fields near Carlsbad could be in store in March thanks to the recent rains.

The team at The Flower Fields said they are excited by the growth and health of this year's crop of ranunculus plants because of the mix of steady rain and intermittent sun.

The Flower Fields will be open to the public starting March 1.
