"It's awesome," said snowboarder Blake Adham. "Mountain High is awesome all the time. But since it just dumped yesterday it can't get much better than this."
For resort operators in Southern California it's a great way to kick off the long President's Day holiday weekend and even more snow is expected Sunday night.
"I came up last weekend and it was gorgeous, so we came up again today and it's amazing," said Marissa Mathews.
For the beginning skiers and snowboarders the good thing about all the powder is that it makes for a soft landing.
