VENTURA, Calif. Rescuers were able to get four people off of Saigon 1, a 40-foot commercial fishing vessel out of Long Beach, without incident just after 2:30 a.m. south of the Ventura Yacht Club.

The Coast Guard is investigating why the boat had run aground. Saigon 1 was en route to Ventura Harbor to unload a cargo of shrimp.
