Man killed in apparent gang-related shooting

A 28-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in an apparent gang-related shooting in South Los Angeles.Police say Dontae Cotton was shot just after midnight as he returned to his home in the 1600 block of West 60th Place. They say the gunman got out of a vehicle, confronted Cotton, and shot him several times.

Cotton was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they do not have a description of the gunman or the car.
