Bags of animal remains found in Temecula

TEMECULA, Calif. The /*Riverside County Sheriff's Department*/ says the bags were discovered near Route 79 and Anza Road. They contained parts of dead turkeys, emus and goats.

Deputies were alerted to the animal bodies by residents who noticed a foul smell in the area. Some thought the odor from the decaying animals was coming from decomposing human remains.
