Monteilh infiltrated an /*Orange County*/ mosque and helped the FBI build a case against a man who was arrested in 2009 on /*terrorism*/-related charges.
According to Monteilh, Irvine police conspired with the FBI to arrest him on grand theft charges once his real identity was revealed. Monteilh served eight months in prison on those charges.
U.S. District Judge James V. Selna has given Monteilh a window to refile his case against both the FBI and the police.
