He is 21-year-old Nickolas Bright. He is a volunteer firefighter for the township now in danger of losing his job. He was one of five suspects who have been arrested.
The men were released from jail on bond Thursday. We are not releasing the names of the other four suspects because they have not appeared before a judge. But they range in age from 17 to 20, including two brothers.
The men were bonded out Thursday after a judge set bond at $40,000 apiece. All five suspects face two felony charges, including malicious destruction of property over $20,000 and conspiracy.
They are accused of destroying $40,000 worth of figurines and other items at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frakenmuth early Christmas morning.
All five suspects are from Genesee Township and are well known.
"Those kids need to restore everything, make full restitution at their expense," said Margaret Huttsell. "They need to be on probation to stay out of trouble for a whole year along with their parents."
"To start with, they should have to pay for it, $40,000," said Thomas Brewer.
