He believes the courses can make money if they're operated efficiently.

"We'll get them open in April. We want to recruit the leagues back. Last year we were slow getting the second one open, so it hurt us with the revenue. We want to do it right this year, get them open in April. We want to see everyone come back out because these are great courses."
The city's Mott Park and Pierce Park courses never opened last year, and it's uncertain if they will open this year.
