Ohio woman who faked child's cancer back in court

A Clark County judge sentenced 43-year-old Teresa Milbrandt of St. Paris to 10 months in prison on Friday.

Assistant Clark County prosecutor Dan Driscoll tells The Columbus Dispatch that Milbrandt said she hurt her hands at a factory job, was legally prescribed painkillers, and used the fake prescription written by one of her daughters when the real prescription ran out.

The newspaper says she was released from prison after serving more than six years on child-endangerment and theft charges in the cancer scheme.

Milbrandt's oldest daughter was sentenced to 20 months in prison for forging prescriptions for herself and Milbrandt.
