Governor Jerry Brown's administration has reached a new contract agreement with the union that represents state attorneys.

The union has been without a contract since July 2007.

They've now accepted a new deal that forces them to take one day of unpaid leave each month for a year.

They've also agreed to contribute more of their own money toward their pensions.

The contract starts next month and runs through the summer of 2013.
