Inclement weather- heavy rains and wind chills in the 20s- led to the postponement, according to a release from the Chicago Cubs.
The teams will play a second game on Wednesday, April 20, at 6:05 p.m. The regularly scheduled game will be first, as scheduled at 1:20 p.m. Tickets for Tuesday's night game will be good for the 6:05 p.m. Wednesday game.
"The Cubs feel it is better to err on the side of caution, respect the dire forecast and postpone tonight's game at this early hour before the gates open even if the current weather forecast changes its course," according to the release.
